The Unusual Pioneers is a joint platform from Yunus Social Business, Porticus, and Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship (sister organisation of the World Economic Forum) inspired by our ongoing research collaboration to dig deeper into ‘corporate social intrapreneurship’. The program builds on these findings and provides access and resources for social intrapreneurs to help them scale their solutions.
Since the 1980s, pioneers like Bill Drayton, Muhammad Yunus and Anita Roddick have led through action, creating powerful examples of business solutions to societal or environmental issues. They called it social business, social entrepreneurship or impact entrepreneurship.
13 MILLION LIVES AND COUNTING 2020 has been a year like no other - which is why we've taken some time to release our Impact Report. 🌍 We've been busier than ever supporting Social Businesses across the globe and the crisis has even made us consider HOW we communicate our work. One thing is for sure: it's time to make a more inclusive capitalism a reality as soon as possible. 🌻
