Quality education in Brazil is often not accessible to students from low income backgrounds. According to the UN only 3.6% of Brazilian public school students reached the end of primary school with advanced reading and text interpretation skills. In order to get into universities, to participate public educational programs that grant student scholarships and/or aid with living expenses and to enter in some private schools, it is necessary to have high score in the National High School Examination (ENEM).
Redação has developed a marketplace that connects students mostly from low-income backgrounds with teachers specialised in proofreading essays required for the ENEM test. The platform also provides training content and mentoring - all affordable prices for the students
A survey has shown that the grades of students who use the platform are 45% higher than the national average. They have already worked with over 44,510 students
