In Colombia, 60% of the rural population has unsatisfied basic needs. This includes inadequate housing, critical overcrowding, lack of access to public services and children going without education. In the same areas there is gender inequality in remuneration and employment rate.
Elepha is a network of women who carry out door-to-door sales in rural areas, allowing members of the network to be part of training spaces, a source of additional income, and access to credit when purchasing products. Through Elepha essential products reach remote areas.
Elepha has enabled more than 3,100 women in more than 400 municipalities to have higher incomes. By 2025, it hopes to have a network of more than 40,000 women that will reach more than 600,000 households.
